If you look hard enough, past the long stretch of pavements and flashing street lights and beyond the non-stop energy of a metropolitan city, you can find a little patch of heaven amidst the chaos. An escape from the hustle and bustle. Somewhere you can look out your window and only hear the ocean waves crashing in the distance or the call of a seagull. A place of peace and quiet.
This is exactly what our client's were working towards when they purchased a townhouse along the dyke overlooking the what seems like endless scenery of the Fraser River. With the help of my boss, aka Yoda, they created a relaxed space that appreciated the ever changing landscape at every turn. The palette for the home was inspired as such, layering vibrant turquoise with a softer seaglass green onto a base of greys.
My favourite little treasure is the elegant spin on a "Games Table" area. The home already has a separate dining space, so the additional dining space was revamped into a chic conversation area, equipped with four robust high-back chairs in corresponding two-tone fabrics, anchored with a coastal driftwood cocktail table and white shag rug. Imagine having the girls over for ladies night to gossip and giggle over a spread of cheese and a glass of wine in hand.
The master bedroom design turned into its' own retreat, straight out of a dream. I swear a canopy bed has never looked so good.
I hoped you enjoyed this slice of heaven!
