Holiday Cheer: Woodland Fairy - Green & Cream Christmas Decor

The Holiday Cheer Series: 2013

I'm a sucker for a good 'Theme' tree each Christmas season, and this may just be the cutest thing I've ever had the pleasure of decorating.

If you're looking to step outside the box this season, why not pay homage to your inner child who believed in magic and fairy dust? This sweet look comes alive with soft greens, champagne golds and butter yellows. To achieve the whimsical garden feel, we draped soft white orchids like garland on a flocked tree, and strategically placed cream calla lillies in between certain to branches to make it look like there is indeed a garden growing from within the tree. To add some sparkle, glittered green holly, leaf ornaments, and golden birds were layered in. The garden look was complete with dragonflies and butterflies, and of course, the fairies.

If you're not feelin' the rather youthful theme, the bones of this design looks darling with or without whimsy accents. The softness of the green, white and yellow envelopes you in warmth, which is a great option for those who don't appreciate the 'high-contrast-bold-colour' {I'm lookin at you, red & green!} Christmas decor but still want it to feel classic.

This look is tailor-made for any home with rustic influences. Here's a few spaces that best suits this colour scheme;

Hope you enjoyed!

Stay classy,

  3. Beautiful picks, I love the last one and the one with the chimenea. My kids were just telling me today that "fairies exist but bad witches don't, right!?!".Thanks for the reminder that magic is around us and not only in kids minds.
